1. Acceptance

By installing or using FixMyPrompt ("the Extension"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, uninstall the Extension and stop using the service.

2. What the Service Does

FixMyPrompt is a Chrome extension that rewrites AI prompts to improve clarity and structure. It works on supported sites (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini) by reading the text in your input field, processing it through an AI model, and returning an improved version.

3. Accounts and Billing

  • The free tier includes 10 prompt fixes per week. No account is required.
  • Pro subscriptions are billed monthly or annually through Stripe. You can cancel at any time from the extension settings or the Stripe customer portal.
  • Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact us within 7 days of a charge if you believe it was made in error.
  • We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice. Existing subscriptions will honor their current price until the next renewal.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the service to generate content that is illegal, harmful, or violates the rights of others.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the Extension beyond what is permitted by law.
  • Circumvent usage limits, rate limits, or authentication mechanisms.
  • Resell, redistribute, or sublicense access to the service.
  • Use automated scripts or bots to make requests to the service.

5. BYOK (Bring Your Own Key)

If you use your own OpenAI API key, you are responsible for all charges incurred on your OpenAI account. We are not responsible for any costs, rate limits, or account actions taken by OpenAI as a result of your usage through FixMyPrompt.

6. Intellectual Property

Your prompts are yours. We do not claim ownership of any text you submit or receive through the service. The Extension itself, including its code, design, and branding, is our intellectual property.

7. Disclaimer

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the Extension will be available at all times, that it will be error-free, or that the AI-generated improvements will be accurate or suitable for your specific use case. Always review the rewritten prompt before sending it.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, FixMyPrompt and its creators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the service at any time for violation of these terms. You may stop using the service at any time by uninstalling the Extension and canceling your subscription (if applicable).

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify users through the Extension or by email. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
